So true, thank you! The modern “no judgement, no regrets” culture moves us further away from what it means to be human and our capacity to grow and better ourselves. Guilt, shame and regret are part of acknowledging we have human failings. Part of recognising when we don’t meet the standards we hold for ourselves and collectively as a society. However painful, they are an absolutely essential part of a good life.
