What a morning.
The Dawn’s Early Light
This morning, a delicate veil of dawn's first light gently kissed our home, and with it came a whirlwind of emotions. I stood silently by the window, watching you, my youngest and last, prepare for a journey that marked an indelible milestone.
The day you start kindergarten. The pride I felt mingled with a poignant sense of loss, creating a symphony within my heart that words can scarcely capture.
Your eyes, bright with excitement and curiosity, reflected a world of possibilities. You wore your new backpack, almost too big for your small frame, and my heart swelled with pride. How you have grown!
It feels like mere moments ago you were taking your first hesitant steps, your tiny fingers wrapped around mine, seeking balance and reassurance. Now, you stride forward with a confidence that both elates and saddens me.
Time, that relentless river, has carried us swiftly from one milestone to the next. I remember your first words, your first laugh, your first steps—each memory a precious gem in the tapestry of our lives.
These moments, once vivid and immediate, now seem like distant echoes, reminding me of the ephemeral nature of childhood.
As I watched you this morning, I realized that my role is changing. No longer the constant caretaker, I now step into the shoes of a guide, offering support from the wings as you take center stage in your own story.
This transition is bittersweet. The early years, filled with sleepless nights and countless joys, are slipping through my fingers like sand. An era ends today, and with it, a piece of my heart.
I see the excitement in your eyes, the eagerness to explore new horizons, and I cannot help but smile. My hopes for you are boundless.
I dream of a future where you face challenges with courage, embrace learning with passion, and navigate the world with kindness and empathy. I want you to know that no matter where life takes you, my love and support will always be with you.
